William and Mary 1692 Gold Five Guinea

By The Royal Mint

Sorry, this product is currently unavailable.

The British Five Guinea is one of the most spectacular and impressive denominations of machine struck currency ever produced! After James II ceased to reign his daughter 'Mary' and her husband William of Orange ruled jointly by agreement. Their heads were placed conjoined with Williams head more prominent and the King and Queen facing to the right. This classic style owed much to Greek and Roman coinage, as many later dual serving monarchs were designed with them face to face.

Apart from some minor smoothing the coin has AU details and which gives the coin great eye appeal.  A beautiful coin and a fabulous piece of British history!
