The Half eagle (better known in the UK as the Liberty Head Five Dollar) were first struck in 1795 and the Liberty Head (motto above the eagle) type in 1866 up until 1908. This particular year has a mintage of 601,506. Bearing the Liberty portrait on the obverse and above the thirteen stars. On the reverse the eagle with motto above reading 'In God we trust'. This coin is in a remarkable condition and displays the beauty of American coins to their full potential. A great buy for anyone wishing to obtain a high grade example of this coin.
