King George IV (1820-1830) - This very fine gold sovereign portrays the more favorable portrait of the king which he had commissioned because he loathed the 'Laurel Wreath' fatter image struck on his earlier coinage. The 1830 is an uncommon date of this reign and is popular with collectors who like to obtain the first and final years of each monarch. The coin has moderate wear but is not ex-mount.
