King George III (1760-1820) - With over sixty years on the throne many important numismatic changes took place during George's reign and some of the denominations were unique to this period. The gold half guinea was a denomination that was struck for virtually every year of George's reign, and included seven different portraits with three different reverse changes. This example features the 5th portrait and spade shaped shield and is an average grade and price accordingly.
