King George III (1760-1820) - With over sixty years on the throne many important numismatic changes took place during George's reign and some of the denominations were unique to this period. The gold guinea was a denomination that was struck over several different monarchs reign and was the 'pound of the day'. This particular example is of a very high quality with the most amazing rose toning.
