King George I (1714-27) - George was thoroughly German and did not want to learn the English Language at all! He spent over half of his reign in Germany, and during his reign the Government could run independently making decisions without the King! This gold guinea was struck towards the end of his reign bearing the older fifth portrait without the elephant below the bust. This coin is in a beautiful condition and would make a fantastic investment and collectible coin for any collection.
