Queen Elizabeth II (1952 - Present day) - This impressive set celebrates the centenary of the St George and Dragon on all four gold coins which was first done in 1893 when Queen Victoria's Widow head portrait was also first introduced. The workmanship of Beneditto Pistrucci and arguably the most famous design in milled history! The set also boasts a stunning silver medallion with the portrait of Beneditto himself on the obverse, and the three famous designs of St George and Dragon on the reverse. Whilst the coins are in mint condition the certificate itself has been kept somewhere damp and is slightly worst for wear. The box is in perfect working order, but typically the button to open the case has rusted.
A fantastic set with a small mintage of just 1250.
