During the reign of King George V gold sovereigns were struck throughout the empire in London, South Africa, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Canada. Canadian sovereigns were struck between 1911-1919 (apart from 1912 and 1915), with some very limited mintages. This 1911 has a mintage of just 257,048 and is scarce.
